New song just completed....

I have just completed a new song titled "You're Near" Please listen and let me know what you think.

"You're Near"

I promised I wouldn't cry
Knowing you lost your life;
Far too young and without a say,
So i sit here to sing and pray.

It's so hard to see
This life pass right in front of me.
I look all around and see sad tears,
But inside I know you're near.

I will make you proud.
You'll look down on me and smile.
And I still see your face in the clouds
Every once in a while.

It's so hard to see
This life pass right in front of me.
I look all around and see sad tears,
But inside I know you're near.

I watch the stars every night;
Watching as they shine so bright.
I named one after you;
J'aime mon etoille beaucoup.

It's so hard to see
This life pass right in front of me.
I look all around and see sad tears,
But inside I know you're near.

I look all around and see sad tears,
But inside I know you're near.

I love the song and would like to add it to the Memorial Music Library.I would like to make her song the featured song on the site (it would be the song playing when visitors enter the home page). I usually change the featured song every month or two. Songs by independent artisit such as Amy are the real jewels of the Memorial Music Library because they give visitors beautiful and unique music to play at funerals.

Amy, I think this song is beautifully done. Very moving, I feel it would be very appropriate for families at services.

I too lost several family and friends in a period of about 8 months a few years back. It was a very difficult time. This song touched my heart and reminded me that they are all still near. THANK YOU!

I was blessed to hear the radio debut of "You're Near" this evening. I cried tears of joy for our family as I realized it was occurring on the anniversary of your granddad's death. He would be so proud to hear his legacy of music live on. Love you so much - Jewel

I have once sent an email your way in request to play your song, "You're Near" at my mom's memorial service. I appreciate you sharing that with me. I read that you are working on new songs and I would love to know when you realease them. You really have a beautiful voice that needs to be heard. Ever thought of American Idol? I am sure you will be able to make it just fine on your own, you have such a natural sound, like it is as easy for you to sing as talk. But something like Idol might oculd put your name out there to give you connections. Thanks again for writing and singing such a beautiful song! Sarah Copeland
